Dear All,
we are very proud to announce that in 2018, the academic community of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at Warsaw University of Life Sciences will celebrate the 65th anniversary of its existence. This period has been an intensive development time for our Faculty. On this occasion, we would like to invite you to jointly summarize the current activities, as well as to draw up plans for the future. The ceremonial celebrations will include the International Scientific Conference “Economic Sciences for Agribusiness and Rural Economy”, as a part of which there will be a ceremonial jubilee session summarizing the activity of the Faculty, as well as the Alumni Reunion.
The faculty was established on August 13, 1953. He got the name of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of Agriculture. The first Dean of the Faculty was prof. Stefan Ignar, and vice-dean – prof. Ryszard Manteuffel. In 1956, the Faculty Council applied for a change of name to the Faculty of Economics and Agriculture – this name was in force from 1958 to the end of 2007. The Faculty of Economic Sciences received its current name on January 1, 2008.
Currently, the Faculty of Economic Sciences educates about four thousand students in five fields of study: economics, management, finance and accounting, logistics, and tourism and recreation. The Faculty employs a scientific team of over 130 research and teaching staff, including 8 professors with a degree in science. For many years, the Faculty has a high academic position and has academic qualifications for PhD and habilitation.
We cordially invite employees of national and foreign universities as well as scientific institutes, representatives from the business area, practitioners, entrepreneurs, delegates from government and self-government as well as graduates of our Faculty. Your participation in the celebrations of the 65th anniversary of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of Warsaw University of Life Sciences will be a great honor for us.
